Gadang bags RM92.5mil contract to widen KL-Karak Highway

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, Gadang recently participated in a Tree Planting Programme at the Sungai Ichat Forest Reserve in Brinchang, Cameron Highlands, Pahang.

The initiative brought together employees, forestry officials, and community stakeholders in a collective effort to support biodiversity conservation and forest restoration. More than 300 tree saplings, including Damar Minyak, Cypress-Pine, Meranti Bukit, Gerok, and Merawan Siput Jantan, were planted throughout the reserve as part of the programme.

The ceremony was officiated by representatives from the Forestry Department of Pahang and attended by participants from various organisations who share a common goal of preserving and protecting Malaysia’s natural environment for future generations.

Beyond contributing to reforestation efforts, the programme served as a meaningful reminder of the role businesses can play in promoting environmental stewardship. Through hands-on participation, employees were given the opportunity to contribute directly to sustainability initiatives while strengthening their understanding of environmental conservation.

Gadang remains committed to integrating sustainable practices across its operations and supporting initiatives that create a positive impact on the environment and the communities in which it operates. Through collective action and responsible stewardship, the Group continues to contribute towards a greener and more sustainable future.
