Gadang Holdings Berhad was incorporated in Malaysia on 6 October 1993 and listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 2 September 1994 under the construction sector. In 1997, Tan Sri Dato’ Kok Onn became the major shareholder and assumed leadership of the Company, marking the beginning of a new phase of growth under the Gadang name.
Today, Gadang is an investment holding company with established interests in engineering and construction, property development, utilities and mechanical & electrical engineering services. The Group further expanded its portfolio in 2014 through its investment in hydro power generation, strengthening its presence in businesses that provide recurring and sustainable income.
